The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), through the Institute of Youth Development Research Malaysia (IYRES), has undertaken the development of the Youth Dashboard, an integrated system known as the Malaysian Youth Index that records youth development information across multiple agencies. This initiative was inspired by a 'bank' concept, which consolidates youth development data in a unified manner. The Youth Dashboard is capable of generating dynamic statistical reports, serving as a valuable reference for assessing the effectiveness of youth development programs.

The design of the Youth Dashboard aligns with the principles outlined in Malaysia’s 2015 National Youth Policy, emphasizing a "cross-implementer" approach to youth development. This concept promotes collaborative efforts among various agencies based on their respective functions and capabilities. Ultimately, this initiative facilitates resource and information sharing to better harness the potential of the country's youth and elevate it to its highest potential.
